Technology Upgradation

It is a Capacity building Support for Identified Industry sector to enable use latest Technology tools to develop, protect and leverage their their business potential and to become competetive in the domestic and export market. This includes Technology Audit & Need Assessment, Dovetailing Technologies to Market needs & linking Govt. Schemes, Finance & Institutional Support.

Due to insufficient investment and lack of awareness of both the quality standards and access to modern technologies, a large percentage of Industry units continue with outdated technology, plant & machinery. With increasing competition due to liberalization of the economy, the survival and growth of these units are critically dependent on their modrenization and technology upgradation. Upgradation of both the process of manufacture and corresponding plant and machinery is necessary for the enterprises to reduce the cost of production and remain price competetive at a time when cheaper products are easily available in the global market.

In this background, the Proposed Initiative aims at facilitating technology upgradation in the identified sectors through a Comprehensive Study & Capacity Building Approach as outlined in the proposal. 

Objectives

. To build the capacity of Industry sector in A.P to enable and use the latest technology tools for developing, protecting and leveraging their business potential and to become competetive in the domestic and export market.

 . Dissemination & Sharing of best practices to facilitate conducive environment for Implementation of Technology Upgradation Schemes.
