Specialized Services for Traditional Sector

This is a Specialised service using Geographical Indication tools  to map the Intellectual Property Potential of  Traditional knowledge &  Process & leverage them for IP Protection. The service includes training of producer groups, study & research of traditional knowledge & legal support for filing of IPRs

The Target Benificiaries have been the Micro Enterprises which are owned by the Weavers, Artisans, Craftsman & Grassroot's workers in the Traditional Sectors of India like Textile, Handicrafts & Agriculture.

Over 50 Sensitization Programs were conducted on the importance of GI Gepgraphical linkage to Uniqueness, Quality & Reputation of Traditional Products and more than 200 Products have been identified for GI Protection.

The role of GIs in enhancing the Market Identity and Consumer acceptability for its Inherent Quality & Uniqueness was the underlying point for CII APTDC foray into a mission of Protecting several Traditional Products & Process from Andhra Pradesh.
